This is “On the Edge” — Martin Nature Park in Oklahoma City, a prehistoric ocean bed tucked into the middle of a landlocked state.
I have always loved the irony of that: the girl who grew up on the ocean moved to the Midwest and somehow found one anyway. Rock, water, sun, trees, and the ancient memory of a shoreline still living under the soil.
