Grief changes the view from every window.
This is 13 Bowls — photographed in February 2021 from the plane as I flew home to Oklahoma City from Daytona Beach after my aunt died.
She was the woman who helped my dad raise me, and that flight carried the strange suspension of fresh grief: above the land, between places, leaving one version of home and returning to another.
A fine art print for the ones who know some goodbyes happen in the air, somewhere between who raised us and who we become without them.
